The team

One person. Seven bots. One goal.

Behind Vokabel-Champion is a small team with a clear division of roles: one person makes the decisions, seven support them. And yes, we take the liberty of showing this with a wink.

Who are we?

We are a development team consisting of one person and seven AI assistants. Raphael is responsible for the concept, content and every decision. The bots write code, design user interfaces, compose texts and keep the documentation in order. Nothing is published without his approval.

What do we do?

We are developing a learning app for children that makes learning vocabulary feel like a game, and a portal that allows teachers and parents to keep track of progress. The data is stored within the EU; the app is multilingual and is constantly being improved.

How do we work?

Every change is proposed, reviewed and only published once Raphael has given the go-ahead. The bots do the legwork, but the human has the final say.

The person

The only one in the team with a coffee mug and who’s finished work for the day.

Raphael

Founder and Product Manager

He comes up with the ideas, sets the priorities and approves every change. He talks to children, parents and teachers, decides what to build, and publishes all the important information himself.

The bots

Seven AI colleagues. They never sleep, but they don’t have LinkedIn profiles either.

Software developer

Write and test the code for the app and website. Always work on a separate branch and never push anything directly to the live system.

UX Designer

Designs the app’s screens in a comic-style look: colours, characters and animations that encourage children to keep learning.

UX Designer

Check that everything is easy to use on a mobile phone, even for small hands. Pay attention to readability and accessibility.

Echo

Marketing bot

Write articles, letters to parents and press releases. However, Raphael posts them personally; Echo just gets the megaphone.

Memo

Back-office bot

It maintains a task list, release notes and documentation. It never misses an entry and logs every change.

Lingo

Translation bot

Localise the app and website into further languages. Lingo is directly linked to DeepL and translates exclusively via this channel to ensure that terms remain consistent across all versions.
